Mechanism of Action
No compound-specific mechanistic summary is published on this page. Where a compound has an indexed peer-reviewed literature, that literature is summarised on its own page; where it does not, we say so rather than generalising from a related molecule.
Investigators should establish identity, purity and behaviour for the specific lot in hand before relying on any published account.
Research Findings
No compound-specific findings are summarised here. The absence of a summary on this page reflects the absence of indexed literature for this exact compound, not a judgement about it.
Where published work exists only for structurally related molecules, it is not reproduced here, because constituent-level or analogue-level results should not be assumed to transfer.
Storage & Reconstitution
Sealed lyophilized material is held in the dark. The dry solid is the stable state and the reconstituted solution the fragile one: 2-8 degrees C for short holding periods, minus 20 degrees C or colder for long-term storage. Vials are brought to room temperature before opening so atmospheric moisture does not condense onto the cold solid.
Diluent is added slowly down the inner wall of the vial rather than onto the cake, and the vial is swirled rather than shaken, since agitation at an air-liquid interface drives peptide aggregation. Persistent cloudiness or visible particulate indicates the material should not be used.
Reconstituted solution is held at 2-8 degrees C, protected from light, and aliquoted before freezing to avoid freeze-thaw cycling. Working aliquots are labelled with the lot number so any result traces back to the certificate of analysis for that lot.
